Revenue Cycle Information Technology
RCC believes that today’s organizations must move beyond the fragmented silo approach to revenue cycle technology so common in healthcare. These silos exist at the functional level where departments like Patient Access, Health Information Management, Case Management, and Patient Accounting function as separate entities with little or no linkage to an overriding systemic vision. These silos exist at the technological level as well, where very little of the integration so common in the retail or banking industries has cross-pollinated into healthcare finance.
Today’s healthcare organizations are using a plethora of technologies to reduce costs and improve service delivery. When implemented as stand-alone applications, these technologies are helping organizations realize generally good results.
However, when implemented as components of an innovative revenue cycle vision, the overall results should be greater than the sum of the individual parts.
